Scotty Cameron Adds Two Putters to the Dual Balance Line

new-dual-balance-puttersScotty Cameron is adding two new models to the dual balance line, the select Newport 2 and GoLo 7. These two models were chosen to extend the dual balance line because of their stability and tour proven ability with tour players.

These new models will help golfers of all skill levels improve and stabilize their putting stroke. The dual balance and counter balance putters designed by Scotty Cameron are developed no different than any other model. In fact, these putters may have even more time and research put into them than most. Scotty Cameron, along with his highly-skilled team, have spent the last two decades reviewing video of top tour players and the type of putting stroke they produce. They found that the top putters on tour keep the butt end of the putter pointed at the same 1 to 2 inch spot in their mid-section during the entire stroke. This is where the dual balance and counter balance putters come in handy. They are designed to help replicate a stroke without anchoring the putter, which we know is helpful but will soon be outlawed.

“The purpose of anchoring a putter is to stop the butt end of the club from moving. Now that anchoring will be against the rules, we’ve determined the best way to help golfers regain that stability and control is through Dual Balance, by adding 50 grams to the shaft and balancing that with 50 grams in the head,” Cameron said. “It eliminates that tendency for many players to flip, push or lead the putter with their hands.

Dual Balance Newport 2

The Newport 2 is the most popular putter model, both on and off tour.  It is a classic, modern putter blade design featuring sharp back angles with a single sight line to ensure precision with every stroke. The Newport 2 Dual Balance will have a larger than conventional head size to accommodate for the additional 50 grams of head weight that is needed to achieve the proper weighting.

Dual Balance GoLo7

The GoLo 7 is a rounded mallet putter design that sets-up effortlessly at address.  It also features a single sight line to help align putts. It has a curved back the flows right into the ground. The GoLo 7 Dual Balance putters carries the extra 50 grams of weight under the sole plate, while the conventional model is hollow under the soleplate.

Both models have a deep-milled face to deliver tour-quality feel and sound. They also have a silver mist finish with a “race-car” inspired frame, with double-milled cherry dot graphics in the back of the head, along with cherry dot graphics on the sole to leave no doubt for on-lookers that this is yet another timeless and classic Scotty Cameron masterpiece.
