Hurricane Matthew Relief Effort
In October of 2016, Hurricane Matthew stormed through the Caribbean and up the East Coast of the United States, causing death and devastation along its path. Rainfall totals in many places were in the double digits, causing widespread flooding. One of the affected areas in North Carolina was just south and east of our headquarters. Residents were left without power, roads were washed away, and many businesses and homes were destroyed.
Seeing the mounting needs in that the area, one of our employees had the great idea to reach out to fellow employees and friends for donations. Through generous hearts, we were able to collect clothes, shoes, canned food, water, diapers, hygienic, and school supplies to be brought down. As a side note, the majority of the shoes were golf shoes which one of the organizers said would go to a local high school that lost the majority of its sports equipment. These shoes would help get their golf team back on the course!
Thank you to our Global Golf family and friends for the donations! While our donations cannot undo the loss these residents have experienced, we trust that every little bit helps restore some normalcy to their lives.
