TP Putter Line From Taylormade: Everything You Need To Know

TaylorMade TP Putters

When it comes to putters and TaylorMade, the Spider series with its large heads and unique shapes come to mind. Taylormade’s TP putter line features more classically shaped head with modern performance traits. Design elements of these putters were inspired by 2 of the Top 5 players in the world, Jason Day and Dustin Johnson. Staffer Sergio Garcia also wields one of the models, the Juno, using it to bring home a victory on the European Tour in 2017. Let’s go over what makes these putters perform so well.

TP Putter Features

Five of the six models are constructed with 303 stainless steel and precisely milled for a solid look and feel. On the face of the putters is a new Pure Roll insert. Taking inspiration from the inserts on Day and Johnson’s putter, the insert gives the ball better topspin. Topspin helps avoid skipping, resulting in putts that stay on their intended line quicker and longer. Grooves in the insert are set at a 45-degree angle to achieve this topspin. The Pure Roll insert also produces a soft, yet solid feel at impact.

Each model has weights at the bottom, giving users the ability to customize the swingweight of the club. Models in the TP putter line have either 5 or 10-gram interchangeable sole weights. Each club also has a unique sightline, making alignment easy and accurate.

TaylorMade uses golf related areas, regions, and landmarks to name each of the putters in the TP line. Here’s what they are called and a breakdown of their features.
